Kick off the holiday season with this fun-filled event inviting the community to come together at Manhattan West.

Enjoy a full schedule of activities that includes free ice skating, live performances, exclusive offers from Manhattan West shops and restaurants, sweet treats and hot beverages, and delightful surprises sprinkled throughout the evening! RSVP at right to receive updates and reminders about the event.

SCHEDULE & DETAILS:

4:00 – 8:00pm – Happenings throughout the Evening

+ A pop-up performance from the cast of the most Tony Award-winning show of the season, Kimberly Akimbo!

+ Free ice skating *

+ Complimentary Hot Chocolate from Daily Provisions *

+ Musical performances to celebrate different holiday traditions, including klezmer for Hanukkah and music steeped in South Asian traditions in honor of Diwali

+ Magical, delightful, and exciting pop-up performances throughout the evening featuring Manhattan West crowd favorites, Triad Brass along with Christmas caroling, stilt walking, juggling, and LED light spinning

+ Selfies with Santa

+ Exclusive offers from Manhattan West Shops & Restaurants

+ Donate a Coat or Toy and spread some holiday cheer to those in need. The New York Cares Coat Drive accepts new or gently used coats. The FDNY is accepting new, unwrapped toys which will be donated to number of area resources. Place your donations in the box located in the lobby of One Manhattan West.

4:00PM – Performance by Trina Basu & Arun Ramamurthy (Lobby of One Manhattan West) – Music deeply rooted in traditions of South India, in honor of Diwali.

4:00 – 7:00PM – Art-making Activity (Citizens Food Hall) – Create a collaged card for your loved ones and send them some homemade holiday joy! Make your own unique holiday card using a variety of papers, washi tape, and old postmarked stamps, during this fun activity for adults and kids of all ages. Your card can be as simple or as complex you’d like, the only skills needed are cutting and gluing!

5:00PM – Pop-Up Performance of the Tony Award-Winning Best Musical, Kimberly Akimbo (Manhattan West Plaza Stage) – The cast of Kimberly Akimbo performs excerpts of their show at Manhattan West! Kimberly (Tony Award winner Victoria Clark) is about to turn 16 and recently moved with her family to a new town in suburban New Jersey. In this “howlingly funny heartbreaker of a show” (The New Yorker), Kim is forced to navigate family dysfunction, a rare genetic condition, her first crush … and possible felony charges. Ever the optimist, she is determined to find happiness against all odds and embark on a great adventure. Join us for a dose of the most Tony Award-winning show of the season!

5:45 – 6:30PMJolly Jam (Citizens Food Hall) – This eclectic trio will keep your festivities funky with music full of mirth! Featuring Nick Cabrera on guitar/vocals, Patrick Andy on bass, and bandleader Jonathan Arons on trombone/vocals.

6:00 – 8:00PMSelfies with Santa (Manhattan West Plaza Stage) – Saint Nick has made his way to Manhattan West Plaza! Get ready to pose with the jolly guy himself. BYO-Camera!

7:00PMPerformance by Michael Winograd + Ira Khonen Temple (Lobby of One Manhattan West) – A traditional Klezmer clarinet and accordion performance in celebration of Hanukkah!

*  Ice skating is first-come, first-serve. Rink capacity restrictions apply. Daily Provisions treats will be served while supplies last.

To get to Manhattan West Plaza, enter on 9th Avenue, between 31st and 33rd Streets. You can also walk to Manhattan West via the High Line – Moynihan Train Hall Connector!

Michael Winograd & Ira Khonen Temple

A celebratory Klezmer clarinet and accordion performance in honor of Hanukkah! Described by one as the “Lebron James of Klezmer” Winograd is one of the leading klezmer musicians in the modern renaissance of the music form.  Clarinetist Michael Winograd has performed at the Winnepeg and Calgary Folk Festivals and Carnegie Hall in New York City. In his spare time he produces records, composes music, and plays with his full band, The Honorable Mentshn. He co-founded Yiddish New York and served as the artistic director of KlezKanada, one of the world’s largest hubs for Klezmer and Yiddish education.
